adrenaline rush

I simply don't understand why tutorial participation is such a popular component in our grading.

I agree sometimes(most of the times) that I do not participate in the discussion because I don't know how to do the questions. But on the occasions when I'm able to answer the questions, I still don't like to share my answers.

One reason is I find it very difficult to articulate my points when speaking aloud. Sometimes, I find that even I don't know what I'm talking, so I'd rather keep quiet.

Another reason is the post-effect of the contribution. Take for example today, in my smallest tutorial group ever, with a class size of 6, I was easily arrowed to answer questions. I feel quite out of place when I have to go to the board to write my answer. Even when I voluntarily shout out my answer, I feel my heart thumping really fast afterward, and it's too stimulating for my liking, even though I know I've earned an extra 0.5 mark or so for my contribution.
